Please note that the opportunity to do in-class instruction this summer is subject to guidelines published by the Minnesota Department of Health and the CDC. Breakaway’s private, one-on-one instruction will be offered online if that presents a better option for your family.

Thinking about summer test prep? Think Breakaway!

For current sophomores (Class of 2023) and juniors (class of 2022) planning to take the July 17th or September 11th ACT, now is a great time to think about summer test prep.

The summer before junior or senior year is one of the best times of the year to work on test prep as students are free of the distractions of the school year and can really focus on their ACT or SAT prep work. Breakaway is pleased to provide a range of convenient test prep options for your student this summer. Breakaway offers a variety of small group instruction options in addition to the private, one-on-one instruction we provide every week of the year.

Small Group ACT Instruction at The Blake School

Now in our seventh year, Breakaway is pleased to provide ACT instruction to small groups of students through the Summer at Blake program. All students are welcome to attend. Classes will be held on Blake’s Minneapolis campus, located at 511 Kenwood Parkway, Minneapolis, 55403.

If you want plenty of individualized attention and an opportunity to learn alongside a small group of motivated peers, this class is for you. The program also includes full-length practice exams, score reports and analyses to identify your areas of strength and weakness. If you’re determined to get a top score and need expert, guided instruction, Breakaway can help you reach your goals.

Prep for the September 11th ACT (mid-summer classes)

Section C: Monday-Wednesday morning session meets from 9:00am-11:45am, starting Monday, July 12 through Wednesday, August 11 and includes a review session on Friday, August 13 to prepare students for the September 11th ACT
Section E: Tuesday-Thursday morning session meets from 9:00am-11:45am starting Tuesday, July 13 through Thursday, August 12 and includes a review session on Friday, August 13 to prepare students for the September 11th ACT
The cost is $1,295 plus a one-time fee of $100 to cover the cost of materials and access to weekend practice tests.
Students should plan to take a practice test with Breakaway prior to starting the class. Practice tests are offered at Breakaway. Click here to register for a test.
