Breakaway Test Prep is pleased to offer an advanced science bootcamp to help students prepare for their ACT! If your student needs some targeted help for the ACT science test in advance of the December 14th ACT, this bootcamp is for you! The bootcamp will take place on Sunday, December 8th from 3:00pm – 5:15pm at Breakaway’s office in St. Louis Park. The cost is just $180. Breakaway Science Bootcamp!
Breakaway is thrilled to bring back its “first-of-its-kind” two-hour science bootcamp! This class will target the challenging science section of the ACT, and give students the opportunity to work through plenty of science passages, hone their time management skills and build their confidence. Led by a veteran science instructor, Breakaway’s science bootcamp perfectly complements Breakaway’s private ACT instruction.
- Review the structure of the science section and effective attack strategies
- Work through a series of science passages to better understand how the ACT tests key concepts
- Practice passages targeting biology, chemistry, physics, geology and other sciences
Rod Olarte is a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in Plant Biology at the University of Minnesota. Rod has a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Cell Biology and a minor in Art Practice from UC Berkeley, a master’s degree in Plant Pathology from Cornell University and a PhD in Plant Pathology from North Carolina State University. Rod has taught high school and college level courses and his teaching strategies may be custom tailored to any student’s needs. Rod is a math and science instructor for Breakaway.
