Summer Prep for July 18th ACT

Breakaway Test Prep is pleased to provide a variety of test prep options for students taking the July 18th ACT. Whether you’re interested in small group options or flexible, private, one-on-one instruction, Breakaway has you covered! Please see below for details on each offering.

We offer a range of test prep options to get ready for the July 18th ACT:

Small group ACT instruction through the Blake School (Minneapolis campus; open to all) and at Plymouth Creek Center
Bootcamps in English, math, reading and science
Private ACT or SAT instruction
Private ACT instruction for students with learning issues and/or attention disorders

Small Group ACT Instruction at The Blake School

Now in our seventh year, Breakaway is pleased to provide ACT instruction to small groups of students through the Summer at Blake program. All students are welcome to attend. Classes will be held on Blake’s Minneapolis campus, located at 511 Kenwood Parkway, Minneapolis, 55403.

If you want plenty of individualized attention and an opportunity to learn alongside a small group of motivated peers, this class is for you. The program also includes full-length practice exams, score reports and analyses to identify your areas of strength and weakness. If you’re determined to get a top score or need expert, guided instruction, Breakaway can help you reach your goals.

Breakaway is offering two sections of ACT prep classes, each of which meets twice per week for three hours per session – a total of 24 hours of instruction over four weeks.
Option 1 meets Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:00am-12:00pm. This class begins on Monday, June 15 and runs through Wednesday, July 15th. There are NO CLASSES on July 1 or July 6.
Option 2 – meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00am-12:00pm. This class begins Tuesday, June 16 and runs through Thursday July 16th. There are NO CLASSES on July 2 or July 7.
There will be one makeup class offered on Friday, July 17th from 9:00am – 12:00pm for students who miss a class.
The cost is $1,095 plus a one-time fee of $100 to cover the cost of materials and access to weekend practice tests.

Small Group ACT Instruction in Plymouth

Breakaway Test Prep is pleased to provide a four-week, 12-hour prep class in Plymouth for students targeting the July 18th ACT.

Classes will meet on Monday evenings, beginning June 15 and run on the following Monday evenings: June 15, June 22, June 29 and July 13. Classes will meet from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Class will not meet on July 6th.
The cost is $645, which includes two practice exams at Breakaway’s St. Louis Park office. Register by May 31, and pay just $595 – a $50 savings.

ACT Bootcamps

Breakaway is pleased to offer intensive 2+ hour bootcamps in each of the four subjects covered on the ACT – English, math, reading and science. These bootcamps are interactive, problem-solving focused sessions designed for students to practice and review distinct sections of the ACT just prior to a national test.

English Bootcamp – Saturday, July 11th from 9am – 11:15 am
Math Bootcamp – Saturday, July 11th from 3pm – 5:15 pm
Reading Bootcamp – Sunday, July 12th from 9am – 11:15 am
Science bootcamp – Sunday, July 12th from 3pm – 5:15 pm

The English and Reading Bootcamps will be held at the Minnetonka Community Center, 14600 Minnetonka Boulevard, 55345.

The Math and Science Bootcamps will be held at the Breakaway office, 3440 Beltline Boulevard, St Louis Park, 55416.

Private ACT or SAT instruction with Breakaway this Summer!

Breakaway is pleased to offer the Twin Cities’ finest one-on-one instruction for the ACT and SAT this summer and throughout the year. Private instruction with Breakaway includes the following:

Private, one-on-one instruction with two Breakaway Test Prep instructors
Comprehensive reviews of all commonly tested concepts in grammar, algebra I, geometry, algebra II, trigonometry, other advanced math topics, chemistry, physics and biology
Critical test-taking and time management strategies for all sections of the test
A proprietary and proven study guide that provides thorough overviews of each section of the test, including key concepts, hundreds of sample problems and critical insights about test-taking and time-management strategies
Access to more than 40 practice ACTs and SATs
Access to Breakaway’s practice tests at held every weekend of the year at our testing center at 3440 Beltline Blvd. in St. Louis Park
Convenient lesson times and locations; instructors are available seven days per week, daytimes and evenings
The cost for private instruction is $125/hour, and lessons are typically one hour in length. There is also a one-time fee of $100 to cover the cost of materials and complimentary access to the practice tests.

Private ACT Instruction for students with LD/ADHD

Breakaway Test Prep is pleased to be the leading provider of test prep services to students with learning issues and/or attention disorders in the State of Minnesota. Breakaway provides ACT instruction tailored to meet the individual needs of students with learning disabilities (such as dyslexia, math and reading disorders, and executive functioning weaknesses) and attention disorders (such as ADHD). Breakaway also works with teachers from Groves Academy, who specialize in working with students with learning issues and attention disorders, to provide private, one-on-one tutoring using Breakaway’s proven test prep materials. Instruction accommodates a variety of learning styles and helps students increase their confidence and improve their performance on the ACT.

Private ACT instruction for students with LD/ADHD includes all of the following:

One-on-one instruction for the ACT with a Groves Academy teacher who brings an expertise in both ACT instruction and learning issues and attention disorders
Instruction includes comprehensive reviews of critical concepts and test-taking techniques for all sections of the test, along with specific, customized strategies for grammar, math, science and writing
