Thinking about summer test prep? Think Breakaway!

For current sophomores (Class of 2022) and juniors (class of 2021) planning to take the September 12th ACT, now is a great time to think about summer test prep.

The summer before junior or senior year is one of the best times of the year to work on test prep as students are free of the distractions of the school year and can really focus on their ACT or SAT prep work. Breakaway is pleased to provide a range of convenient test prep options for your student this summer. Breakaway offers a variety of small group instruction options in addition to the private, one-on-one instruction we provide every week of the year.

Small group prep options include:

Five-week intensive ACT prep classes at the Blake School starting July 13
Five-week intensive ACT prep class at Breakaway’s office in Mendota Heights starting July 13
Five-week intensive ACT prep classes at Breakaway’s office in St. Louis Park starting July 27
Four-week introductory ACT prep class at the Minnetonka Community Center starting July 22 (evening)
Four-week introductory ACT prep class at Providence Academy starting July 31

Small Group ACT Instruction at The Blake School

Now in our seventh year, Breakaway is pleased to provide ACT instruction to small groups of students through the Summer at Blake program. All students are welcome to attend. Classes will be held on Blake’s Minneapolis campus, located at 511 Kenwood Parkway, Minneapolis, 55403.

If you want plenty of individualized attention and an opportunity to learn alongside a small group of motivated peers, this class is for you. The program also includes full-length practice exams, score reports and analyses to identify your areas of strength and weakness. If you’re determined to get a top score and need expert, guided instruction, Breakaway can help you reach your goals.

Classes meet twice per week on Mondays and Wednesdays OR Tuesdays and Thursdays for 2-3/4 hours a session – a total of more than 27 hours of instruction over five weeks.

Option 1: Monday-Wednesday morning session meets from 9:00am-11:45am, starting Monday, July 13 through Wednesday, August 12
Option 2: Tuesday-Thursday morning session meets from 9:00am-11:45am starting Tuesday, July 14 through Thursday, August 13
Option 3: Tuesday-Thursday afternoon session meets from 1:00pm – 3:45pm starting Tuesday, July 14 through Thursday, August 13
Two makeup classes will be offered in August for students who miss a class: Monday, August 17 and Tuesday, August 18 from 9:00am – 12:00pm
The cost is $1,295 plus a one-time fee of $100 to cover the cost of materials and access to weekend practice tests.

Small Group ACT Instruction with Breakaway in St. Louis Park

Breakaway is pleased to provide ACT instruction to small groups of motivated students this summer at our office in St. Louis Park. Similar to our Blake summer program, this small group program starts a bit later in the summer so that students who are away in June and early July have an opportunity to access the same terrific program.

Breakaway is pleased to offer the following ACT small group programs in St. Louis Park:

Option 4: Monday-Wednesday morning from 9:00am-11:45am starting July 27 through August 26
Option 5: Tuesday-Thursday morning from 9:00am-11:45am starting July 28 through August 27
Cost is $1,295 plus a one-time fee of $100 to cover the cost of materials and access to the weekend practice tests.
Makeup class offered on Friday, August 28 from 9:00am – 11:45am.

Breakaway is pleased to provide ACT instruction to small groups of motivated students this summer at our office in Mendota Heights. This intensive program offers five weeks of instruction and classes meet twice per week, on Monday and Wednesday mornings.

Monday-Wednesday morning from 9:15am-112:15pm starting July 13 through August 12
Cost is $1,295 plus a one-time fee of $100 to cover the cost of materials and access to the weekend practice tests.

Small Group ACT Instruction with Breakaway at the Minnetonka Community Center

Breakaway is pleased to provide ACT instruction to small groups of motivated students at the Minnetonka Community Center. This program provides 12 hours of in-class instruction, full-length proctored ACT exams and expert instruction from Breakaway.

This summer session will provide you with structured guidance on the ACT and help get you ready for the fall test. This program includes:

Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm-9:00pm for four weeks starting on the July 22nd
Those who miss a class are welcome to take a bootcamp in lieu of the missed lesson
Cost is $695

Small Group ACT Instruction at Providence Academy

Breakaway Test Prep is pleased to introduce an intensive, four-week ACT preparation program in cooperation with Providence Academy.

This summer session will provide you with structured guidance on the ACT and help get you ready for the fall test. This program includes:

Fridays mornings from 9:00am to 12:00pm for four weeks starting on July 31
Class will also be held on August, 7, 14 and 21
A review session will be held on Friday, August 28
The cost is $695

Private ACT or SAT instruction with Breakaway this Summer!

Breakaway is pleased to offer the Twin Cities’ finest one-on-one instruction for the ACT and SAT this summer and throughout the year. Private instruction with Breakaway includes the following:

Private, one-on-one instruction with two Breakaway Test Prep instructors
Comprehensive reviews of all commonly tested concepts in grammar, algebra I, geometry, algebra II, trigonometry, other advanced math topics, chemistry, physics and biology
Critical test-taking and time management strategies for all sections of the test
A proprietary and proven study guide that provides thorough overviews of each section of the test, including key concepts, hundreds of sample problems and critical insights about test-taking and time-management strategies
Access to more than 40 practice ACTs and SATs
Access to Breakaway’s practice tests at held every weekend of the year at our testing center at 3440 Beltline Blvd. in St. Louis Park
Convenient lesson times and locations; instructors are available seven days per week, daytimes and evenings
The cost for private instruction is $125/hour, and lessons are typically one hour in length. There is also a one-time fee of $100 to cover the cost of materials and complimentary access to the practice tests.

Private ACT Instruction for students with LD/ADHD

Breakaway Test Prep is pleased to be the leading provider of test prep services to students with learning issues and/or attention disorders in the State of Minnesota. Breakaway provides ACT instruction tailored to meet the individual needs of students with learning disabilities (such as dyslexia, math and reading disorders, and executive functioning weaknesses) and attention disorders (such as ADHD). Breakaway also works with teachers from Groves Academy, who specialize in working with students with learning issues and attention disorders, to provide private, one-on-one tutoring using Breakaway’s proven test prep materials. Instruction accommodates a variety of learning styles and helps students increase their confidence and improve their performance on the ACT.

Private ACT instruction for students with LD/ADHD includes all of the following:

One-on-one instruction for the ACT with a Groves Academy teacher who brings an expertise in both ACT instruction and learning issues and attention disorders
